Last week I was honoured to be alongside Minister for Education James Merlino to visit and open the completed stages of $22.7 million in upgrades to Geelong High School.

The upgraded C.A. Love Hall hosts a complete lighting and audio presentation system, digital projector and kitchenette supporting Geelong High School’s proud reputation for music and the performing arts.

The Kroger Building has also been completely transformed with new classrooms, library, canteen and wellbeing area, all giving students a great environment to learn, create and relax.

Construction works are underway on a new technology centre, with more classrooms and specialised mixed-media and visual communications learning areas for the school’s Winstanley building and RJ Vague wing.

These further works are forecast to be completed in the first half of 2020.

Geelong High School is a great school with promising students and hardworking teachers – this major upgrade will give students the modern facilities they need to get the best out of their education.
