The State Government Helped Launch The New Humans in Geelong Book

Forty inspiring, diverse stories from the Geelong region have been told in a brand new book compiled by the volunteers at Humans in Geelong.

The book, which was funded by a $51,000 grant from the State Government, was launched on Sunday by state member for Geelong Christine Couzens.

Ms Couzens said she was proud to support the project, which celebrated the inspirational people who made a real difference in the community.

“In Geelong we have some amazing people and people do love looking at those photos and reading the stories,” she said.

“People are really excited to see the end result.”

The book will be distributed for free to local schools, libraries and community groups, with Humans in Geelong saying they hope it inspires, connects and strengthens the community.
