Update Works To The Geelong Ring Road Are Finished

Much has changed since this photo was taken ten years ago.

Here’s one thing: drivers travelling along the Geelong Ring Road are enjoying a much smoother and safer journey with the completion of vital upgrade works thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.

About 5.6 kilometres of the Melbourne-bound carriageway had been rebuilt and repaired this past construction season as part of the Labor Government’s 2018/19 $84 million maintenance investment in south western Victoria.

Work was completed across six sections of the Ring Road, to improve the strength and quality of the road surface for the more than 14,000 vehicles that travel this important connector route daily.

In addition, 9.6 kilometres of resealing work was completed between Waurn Ponds to north of Creamery Road – ensuring a smoother, safer journey for drivers.

These works were delivered by Regional Roads Victoria, with more improvements currently being planned for the Ring Road later this year.
